Howdy, this post is part of a (nearly) once-a-day-month-long-blogging-brouhaha with my pals Amanda Hollinger, Monica Wyche, and Ami Worthen.
I passed this amazing, gnarled, tremendous tangle of tree on my walk tonight. It stopped me. It dwarfed the house behind it.
I swear it wanted to speak aloud.
Though daunting in size, mysteriously odd in appearance, the tree comforted me. I wanted to climb into its beautiful mess of exposed roots, branches, trunk, and whisper my troubles.
I wouldn’t even need an answer.
It is enough to know it would listen.
